Listen carefully from about 8:20 onwards, that's definitely music, and not environmental sound effects. It's still mostly distinguishable from background or environmental sound effects There's definitely music in Doom 3, even though it's few and far between and much of it is just a looped sound effect or small collection of looped sound effects. Seems you're the one confused, between what constitutes music, and what constitutes environmental sound effects. Game's levels have a ton of ambient sound effects which keep your ears busy. Doom 3 on contrary has no music tracks what so ever. Quake had music track that seemed more like a collection of ambient sounds. There's a very clear difference in Doom 3 between the ambient noise and the music, and without either, the game's atmosphere would suffer.ĭoom 3 never had any music. To fix that open the autoexec.Originally posted by Rockhead Gaz:Since when is there no music in Doom 3? Troubleshooting for unintended language change: If you already modified your "base" directory, i recommend to make a clean install of Doom3 BFG before you install this mod, because it might have conflicts with modified "base" files. ![]() It will only occur once at the very first start of a new map. This Mod will cause huge loading times between levels and intros due to the "generated" ressources process depending of your system configuration it could take minutes and may look like the game crashed, but it isn't. It doesn't mess around with the default "base" directory and it's files. This mod uses a dedicated mod-directory called located in your main "DOOM3 BFG Edition" directory. If you don't want to use the included EXE you can also create a shortcut of "RBDoom3BFG.exe" with the following parameter set fs_resourceLoadPriority 0 set fs_game look like this => ".\RBDoom3BFG.exe set fs_resourceLoadPriority 0 set fs_game For further Informations please read the UltimateHD Readme Run "Doom3 BFG UltimateHD.exe" (This starts RBDoom3BFG.exe with the right parameter) ![]()
